My sweet Baby Henry,
4 months little one, 4 months! I can hardly believe how fast you are growing up and just how big you are getting! I am so often telling you stories about "when your were a litttttleee baby!" And then you will laugh and laugh as if you are reminiscing right along with me! You make your mommy so proud with your inquisitiveness. You are always listening, listening, listening and watching, watching, watching.
Our favorite word to describe you these past four weeks is "crafty." You are our crafty little guy and we swear that during the night you sneak off to baby crafting school to learn how to outsmart Mommy and Daddy. You absolutely amaze us with how quickly you are developing and learning new things.
Some of your highlights this month included:
-Your very first Christmas
-Your very first trip
-Your first day of Prelude Music Class (which you absolutely love! You are so attentive and even shake your little arms in rhythm with the music! It's so sweet to watch you soak in this new experience)
-You took your longest nap ever this month (1 hour and 20 minutes!).
-You slept for your longest stretch ever this month too (6 hours, from 7:30 pm - 1:30 AM!)
-Somehow in the past month you've also figured out how to do a 360 degree spin in your crib. Mommy and Daddy laughed so hard when we looked down at the monitor one night and you were perpendicular in your crib!
-Last month you discovered your hands, and this month you discovered how tasty they are!
And some sweet memories:
-Your little doggie George loves you so much! He follows you all around the house. He jumps up to sit right on the edge of the bath tub every night during your bath! Even if we feed him just before, he will wait to eat his dinner until after you bath is done and you are tucked into bed! And every time Mommy nurses you in the glider, he will jump up and sit on the back of the chair the whole time you eat!
-You've discovered Mommy's hair and you just love to get your little fingers all tangled up in it while you nurse. You've also learned to take some smile breaks during your feedings to look up and give mommy the biggest, milkiest smile ever! Melts my heart!
-Mommy feels so lucky that you smile so big at Meldy every morning when she arrives before mommy heads into her office to work! Knowing that you are happy with your sweet nanny while I am working is the key that holds this while work/life balance thing together!
Your favorite things:
-Books, books, books! Mommy tries to read you at least 3-4 books in the morning before work and another 3-4 in the evening!
-Your Baby Einstein piano! We clapped and clapped for you when you figured out how to push the buttons all by yourself
-Your "real" piano that Grandma got you before you were born! We sit you at your little bench and you pound away at those keys like baby Beethoven!
-Your Peek A Boo Bear and your Scout doggy
Some stats:
-You still exclusively drink breast milk
-You average (4) 30 minute naps per day
-You go to bed at 7:30, usually sleep for about an hour, and then we have to go back and settle you/nurse you. You will usually sleep for another 2 hours or so, and the then the rest of the night is a toss up!
-You usually start your day around 7AM when Daddy leaves for the office
-We have not begun any formal sleep training, but will let you cry for 3-5 minutes before we go in and settle you
-Weight = 15 lbs, 7.5 oz (61.02%)
-Height = 25 inches (52.19%)
-Head Circumference = 16.5 inches (38.79%)
I love you so much my big baby boy!!!!
