Dear Henry,
I am a few days tardy on your Happy Six Months letter! We have been busy, busy bees around this house! First, I can hardly believe that you, my baby boy, are one half of a year old! 50% of my heart is so happy with the sweet,
You achieved so much the past month! From getting your very first tooth, to sitting up so tall and strong without hardly ever toppling over anymore, to discovering your toes and the fact that they make a delicious snack! You've also started "talking" a LOT more. Sometimes you will craft your way into our bed at night and then keep us up just smiling and cooing away! I love our late night cooing conversations! You still adore your music class so much and I am so proud when you are the only baby in there who actually for real plays the drum (and even to the beat of the music!).
You also started eating REAL food this month! At first you were not too impressed, but slowly but surely you are starting to like it! It's a total messy fiasco during feeding time, but I think we are all learning that is part of the fun! We just got your very own "eating throne" as I like to call it. You seem so proud to sit in it and have your place at the table!
You are also starting to take a real interest in George and Lulu. You've learned that when you grab their hair and pull as hard as you can, it will an elicit a really LOUD squek from the dogs (especially George) and you think this is quite hilarious. I am trying to teach you to pat, pat, pat instead of pull!
I love you so so so so much! You are the happiest little baby and you make us so happy too! Love, Mommy
Some Stats:
Food: You are still breastfed (usually between 6 - 8 feedings in a 24 hour period) and around 6pm you eat your one "real" meal of the day. Something along the lines of a puree (apple, pear, avocado, sweet potato, banana) or rice ceraal.
Sleep: STILL not our strong suit. You go down between 7:00 -7:30. You usually will wake between 9-10 and again between 1-3 and again around 5 and then you are up for the day between 7:00 - 7:30. So far our longest stretch of continuous sleep has been 6.5 hours.
Favorites: The Hello Song, your Mozart Cube, Anything that can go in your mouth for a good chew...
Weight: 17 lbs, 11 oz (will have some more official info following your doctor appt on Mar 20)
Henry (aka little buddy),
This was a big month for you! You cut your first tooth! It made you a fussy little guy, but overall, you handled it really well. Your parents are very proud of you! Also, you started eating real food! Your mommy made you some pears, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas and avocado. It seems like you eat a little more of the bowl of food each day! The dogs love it too because they usually get a little taste of what you’re eating. The most exciting this that happened this month is that your parents bought you a new house! You’re mommy has been working hard coordinating with the designer and contractor picking out all the paint colors, furniture and landscaping. We can’t wait to move into our new house but are sad to move out of the house where we brought you home from the hospital. We love you more and more each day and love watching you grow up into our little guy. Looking forward to the next month!
Love,
Daddy
