Our Weekend

We close on our new house this Wednesday, so I knew that this was probably the last weekend we will have for a VERY long time to do anything leisurely!  Plus, after my trip away last week, I was looking forward to some good family time!

It rained all Friday night and Saturday.  Henry slept great (and Daddy was happy after 2 less than stellar nights of sleep while Mommy was away).  We pulled on our rain boots Saturday and got a really early start to the day by having to head over to the new house to meet up with a contractor and plumber who are finalizing the bid for our master bathroom.  After that, we drove around for awhile before heading to El Tiempo for a VERY early lunch!   There are not many things to do with a 5 month old baby on a rainy day.  Movies are out of the question, as is a lazy day on the couch.  So we decided to check out The Aquarium, since neither of us have ever been before.  It's just okay.  Our experience was made worse by the fact that we arrived just after a tour bus full of the future thugs of America.  On a positive note, Henry really loved looking at all of the fish, so it was a good activity to kill an hour or so!

 Sunday we made our ritualistic Starbucks and drive around the new neighborhood run and then ran a ton of errands.  After crossing about 100 things off the to-do list and it still being only 1pm, we decided to make a spontaneous trip to the beach!  We grabbed some sandwiches and headed south!  Henry slept the whole way and woke up to his big surprise...seeing the ocean for the first time!  I'm not sure he grasped my whole lesson on how this is where all of the fishies we saw yesterday live in real life, but I think he enjoyed  the beautiful day!

And yes I pretty much wore the same outfit all weekend and never washed my hair.  That's what Monday's are for!
