Two Weeks New

Sweet Henry,

Today you turned 2 weeks old.  First and foremost, your Daddy believes it is of utmost importance to point out that today is also the day that you have had more poopy diapers than ever before.  We're at #9 and counting.  It's quite possible we are going to enter double digit territory this evening.

We love you so much, poopy diapers and all, and can hardly believe how much you have blessed our lives in 14 short days.  Together, in the past 2 weeks, you and Daddy and I have shared so many firsts!  Your first bath, your first trip to the pediatrician (which unfortunately led to a day under light therapy due to Jaundice), reading to you your first books, learning how to change diapers (can you believe Mommy had never changed a diaper until we had you?), your first walk in your stroller, and so many more!  You've had so many sweet visitors and the mantle above our fireplace is full to the brim with cards welcoming you to the world!

Thank you for being patient with us as you break us in as parents!   And even when we are up at night for the 7th time and it's 4:00 am,  you find your own little ways to make us love you even more!  Like seeing our big blue eyed baby boy gaze up at me while eating away with milk splashed all over your face!  You quite possibly are the cutest baby ever made (baby acne and all)!

We love you Henry Hogan and can't wait to see what you have in store for us over the coming weeks and months....in the meantime Mommy is going to try and squeeze in a nap in preparation for another sleepless night!  We'll let Daddy tackle poopy diaper #10.....
