On Sunday we began celebrating his Henry's First Halloween. We kicked off the day with our second trip of the week to the zoo. This was also his second time to sleep through the entire outing!
Following the zoo, we headed home to throw on the green bean costume and take a walk back to the pumpkin patch with hopes of snapping some cute pictures of the happiest little green bean on the block. Henry had other plans...
During our walk back home I had the epiphany that Henry's green bean hat shared a remarkable resemblance with the stem of a pumpkin and wouldn't it be cute to carve out a pumpkin and throw him inside wearing the green bean hat / makeshift pumpkin stem? Obviously Henry loved this idea....
When Monday, the actual day of Halloween rolled around, Henry clearly was still a bit traumatized at the sight of his green bean costume. So we spent the evening in a normal outfit and headed over to Marty's parents house to hand out candy to trick or treaters and admire the big kid costumes! Hopefully next year Halloween will be a bit more festive and well received in the Hogan house!
